Description
Pistyll Rhaeadr, Wales, UK.
Described as one of the ‘seven wonders’ of Wales the Rhaeadr waterfall (Pistyll) is formed by the Afon Disgynfa falling in three stages over a 240-foot cliff-face, into the Afon Rhaeadr below. Discover more about this waterfall on the edge of the Berwyn Mountains here.
The print process
From the original painting, a professional and colour-matched scan is made. Next the scan is individually hand-printed – to the exacting archival standards of modern fine art printing. What’s more, it exceeds the Fine Art Trade Guild’s minimum standards for the production of giclée prints.
This print uses the best giclée printing technology currently available. Art4Site Ltd is one of the UK’s leading and award-winning specialist fine art printers. The company gained the prestigious Hahnemühle Platinum Certified Studio Award in 2024, placing it in an elite category of fine art printing studios. It is printed on the latest Epson SureColor large format printers. These use ten colour, wide gamut UltraChrome HDX lightfast pigment inks ensuring fine art gallery quality.
In addition, the artwork is printed on Photorag, 308 gsm from Hahnemühle. A whiter, smoother surface lends particularly well to digital art and drawing and has a 100% rag content. We have also found that oils or acrylic work reproduces brilliantly on this paper if the original painting is on board or canvas.
